Tabriz hosts Shabhaye Por Setare on resistance and martyrdom

The cultural special program Shabhaye Por Setareh, aimed at narrating the history of Jihad and Martyrdom, will be held from September 23 to 25 at the Tabriz Martyrs’ Cemetery. The program is scheduled to be broadcast live on three national channels (Channel 3, Ofogh, and Quran) as well as the East Azerbaijan provincial network.

This cultural event, previously held in cities such as Tehran, Shiraz, Qom, and Isfahan, will this year focus on the historical role of Tabriz and the people of Azerbaijan during the Sacred Defense, the Islamic Revolution, and contemporary resistance movements. The narratives presented in this program, including memories related to the IRGC, Army, Basij, Construction Jihad, and defenders of the shrine, will familiarize audiences especially the younger generation with lesser-known aspects of Iran’s contemporary history.

The organizers have stated that the main goal of this event is to promote the culture of sacrifice and national unity. The program emphasizes the prominent and inspiring role of Tabriz in the Iranian nation’s resistance and seeks to use storytelling to convey values and historical identity.

To facilitate attendance, buses have been arranged from 20 locations across Tabriz to transport people to the event venue at Vadi Rahmat. It is expected that over 10,000 people will attend daily.

According to the organizers, part of the program’s content will be prepared for translation and publication in multiple languages to reflect the message of sacrifice and resistance of the people of Azerbaijan internationally. Additionally, extensive media coverage in cooperation with domestic and international media outlets is planned for this program.
